Coyne Airways' Structured Donation Plan for War Child

Why is Coyne Airways supporting War Child?

Coyne Airways is supporting the charity War Child because of the life-saving work they do to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children affected by war through projects in Afghanistan, Iraq, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, Uganda and most recently, Yemen.

War Child aims to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, and stays on to support them - long after the TV cameras have gone home.

War Child helps keep them safe, give them an education, and equip them with skills for the future.

War Child understands children’s needs, respects their rights, and puts them at the centre of everything they do. War Child also works with children and young people to change systems and practices that affect them. They campaign on the root causes of conflict, and demand that children are at the centre of all humanitarian responses.

War Child is a small charity with a big impact, reaching 126,000 children, young people and adults in 2015. War Child is well-run and prudent with donations, ensuring that the majority of money is spent on missions, not administration.

How is Coyne Airways supporting War Child?

Coyne Airways are donating $1 to War Child for every booking received. We call this the Structured Donation Plan (SDP): a small amount per transaction, that is simple to run administratively but guarantees regular, ongoing support. The amount will then be paid to War Child on behalf of our customers who will be free, if they wish, to add to the donation either through us or to War Child directly.

Better still, customers can set up their own SDP. We would like to encourage as many companies as possible to set up their own SDP, and are willing to help assist with this, even if the support is not for War Child. Please contact Larry at for further details.
